Technology Fellowship Overview

The E4FC Technology Fellowship provides a meaningful training in technology used by nonprofits. The Technology Fellow will have an opportunity to get hands-on experience in the implementation of E4FC’s in-house technology tools and platforms.Specifically, he/she will be involved in:

  • Configuration of cloud-based apps used in programmatic implementation
  • Assist in the development of Salesforce NPSP Custom Objects and Process Builder
  • Assist in the completion of various tech-based projects

Fellowship Benefits

Through this fellowship, the Technology Fellow will gain basic proficiency in the following areas:

  • Basic proficiency in technology-based project management
  • Basic understanding of SaaS application integration
  • Basic computer troubleshooting techniques: hardware and software
  • Proficiency in setting up automatic workflows using app-integration tools
  • Nonprofit technology tools and platforms: Salesforce, Zapier, Google App Suite
  • Project Management Tools: GANTT Charts, Asana

Qualifications

The Technology Fellow will be thoroughly committed to E4FC’s mission and vision. He/she will:

  • Have direct knowledge of or personal connection to the undocumented experience.
  • Have strong critical thinking skills and be detail oriented.
  • Be able to work independently and remotely online with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Be able to cooperate and work effectively in a team
  • Be willing to learn new skills and try new experiences
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
  • Preferred but not required: basic IT experience (i.e. PC-building, OS installation)

Fellowship Requirements

  • Commit to 5 to 10 hours/week from June 30, 2018 through May 31, 2019
  • Participate in bi-weekly in-person check-ins with Technology and Operations Manager
  • Weekly and cross-program trainings

Grant

Assuming the Technology Fellow fulfills all program requirements, he/she will receive a $3,300 - $6,600 grant to support his/her participation in the program. The grant will be disbursed in monthly installments of $300 - $600, upon successful completion of program requirements and responsibilities.
