Empowering undocumented young people to achieve educational and career goals

"INVEST IN THE DREAM" INITIATIVE

E4FC Staff + Year 2 "Invest in the Dream" Cohort

In 2014, E4FC launched Invest in the Dream, a national initiative that offers matching scholarship grants, staff training and immigration legal services to help scholarship provider organizations deepen and expand their support for undocumented students.

Since its inception, Invest in the Dream has awarded $750,000 in matching grants to 19 scholarship providers in 16 states. Our matching grants have leveraged an additional $750,000 in matching funds from local donors and other sources, for a total of $1.5 million in new scholarship funds.

In addition to supporting scholarships for more than 200 undocumented students, E4FC has created and nurtured a nationwide learning community of organizations that are seeking ways to increase financial aid, provide more holistic support and effectively advocate for those students. Read more about our
2014 Grantees, 2015 Grantees, and 2016 Grantees.

In 2017, E4FC will not consider any new applications for Invest in the Dream matching grants. For this fourth year of the initiative, we will use our grant funds to help our current grantees increase their capacity to attract additional support for undocumented student scholarships.

Invest in the Dream will continue to advise scholarship providers and higher educational leaders on issues affecting undocumented students. Please return to this website for updated materials and resources.

Invest in the Dream is supported by generous grants from the Heising-Simons Foundation, Grove Foundation, and other funders.
