Communications Fellowship Overview
The Communications Fellowship provides meaningful training in communications, social media, and design. The Communications Fellow will have an opportunity to get hands-on experience in the design and distribution of E4FC’s educational resources and marketing materials.
Specifically, he/she will be involved in:
- Creating custom graphics for E4FC’s digital communications and campaigns
- Updating educational and marketing materials and website content
- Ensuring continuity of E4FC’s brand (colors, fonts, and logo)

Fellowship Benefits
Through this fellowship, the Communications Fellow will gain basic proficiency in the following areas:
- Basic understanding in layout and typography (online and web) and how to follow branding guides
- Communications tools: Form Assembly
- Website upkeep: Content management systems: Network Solutions and WordPress
- Project management: KabanFlow and task tracking (Toggl)
- Graphic design software: Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Canva
- Communications channels: Facebook, Youtube, Benchmark

Qualifications
The Communications Fellow will be thoroughly committed to E4FC’s mission and vision. They will:
- Have direct knowledge of or personal connection to the undocumented experience.
- Have strong critical thinking skills and be detail oriented.
- Be able to work independently and remotely online with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
- Be able to cooperate and work effectively in a team
- Be willing to learn new skills and try new experiences
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Google Apps.

Time Commitment
- Attend a mandatory opening overnight weekend retreat from June 30-July 1, 2018
- Commit to 15 hours/week from March 15, 2018 through June 30, 2018[1]
- Attend professional development trainings on Fridays
- Participate in bi-weekly in-person check-ins with Communications lead
- Weekly and cross-program trainings

Grant
Assuming the Communications Fellow fulfills all program requirements, he/she will receive a $6,600 grant to support his/her participation in the program. The grant will be disbursed in monthly installments of $600, upon successful completion of program requirements and responsibilities.
